These Terms and Conditions were written in August 2006 with reference to the Distance Selling Regulations and the E-Commence Regulations. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions if necessary. We will date any amendments and make previous versions available on the site together with the periods during which they applied.

Who we are and how to contact us
Memory Studio is owned and managed by Christine and Mel Jones. We are the innovators, producers and distributors of LifeTime Rhymes. The display of items on the web site is, in legal terms “an invitation to treat”. All contracts to buy our products will be with Memory Studio. Christine Jones writes under the pen-name Emma Daykin.

Main characteristics and use of LifeTime Rhymes
- LifeTime Rhymes are illustrated poems, suitable as gifts for babies and children.
- They are personalised with the name of the child at the top and a message from the giver at the bottom.
- We offer them in either one or two sizes, according to the edition and they can be supplied either mounted-only or mounted and framed. (All mounts are double-mounts.) Frames have mitred joints and are constructed of softwood, finished to different colours. Because wood is a natural material, the grain will be individual to each frame and the finished colour may differ slightly.
- The frames are glazed with a clear styrene material which compliments the artwork in the same way as glass. Styrene has the advantage of being lighter and safer to handle than glass.
- As with any wall decoration, LifeTime Rhymes must be hung securely using the fixings included. Framed LifeTime Rhymes are not toys and, in common with all children’s wall decorations, must be hung out of children’s reach. An A4 laminated version is given free-of-charge with every order. This can be handled and read.
- The frames are hardboard-backed and sealed with tape to keep the artwork dust-free.
- Mounted LifeTime Rhymes can be displayed either in their mounts or framed by the purchaser or recipient after purchase.

Availability and Substitution
We appreciate the time and effort you take to choose your LifeTime Rhyme gift, and we will do our very best to fulfil your exact requirements. In the unlikely event that we are unable to do so, we will contact you within 48 hours of accepting your order (excluding weekends) to discuss solutions or to make a full refund. We will never substitute a product unless we have specifically checked with you that this is acceptable.

Prices
The prices shown below are as shown elsewhere on this site. They exclude postage/courier and packing, and gift-wrap, which are shown separately. There is no V.A.T. payable on any of our products.

Postage/Courier and Packing Prices - U.K. addresses only
Framed Orders
We charge £5.00 only for any number of frames plus any number of mounted-only products ordered at the same time to be delivered to the same address.
Mounted-only Orders
We charge £2.00 only for any number of mounted-only versions. We do not charge for mounted-only products ordered at the same time as framed items to be delivered to the same address
Gift-wrap
- If you wish, we can gift-wrap your LifeTime Rhyme gift/s and include gift-card/s bearing the same message/s as you tell us to put on the LifeTime Rhyme/s artwork.
- The design of wrapping and card will vary. However, the gift wrap and card will always be of high quality and suitable for the gift/s you've selected.
- We charge £5.00 per item for gift wrap and card.
Duration of Prices and Special Offers
- The prices and any special offers remain valid as long as they are displayed on our web site or for the duration of the period indicated. (Errors and omissions excepted.)
- However you order, the total cost of your order, including the products, the postage/courier and packing charges will be made known to you before your order is processed.
Despatch and Delivery Arrangements
- Our normal despatch dates are within 21 working days from the day we receive your payment and confirm your order.
- However, we normally fulfil orders very quickly - usually within a few working days (but allow five working days to clear cheques if you pay by this method). We will always do our best to meet urgent orders.
Order Despatch Methods
LifeTime Rhymes are appropriately packed to protect the product and help ensure safe transit.
Our main carrier is Royal Mail
- We can despatch direct to you or to another U.K. address which you give us.
- If you do not wish us to send your gift direct to the child’s address, you may still wish to choose an alternative address such as your work or a neighbour's address, which may be more convenient to you.
- Note that there are some delivery areas (Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey and the Scilly Isles) about which we ask you to contact us before placing your order. This is because we will need to check the delivery charge which may vary from our normal rates
Despatch to Addresses outside of the U.K.
- Currently, we cannot send LifeTime Rhymes to addresses outside of the U.K. We are looking into this possibility now and hope to be able to do this in the near future.
However, customers in the U.K. may wish to send mounted-only versions overseas themselves.

Ordering LifeTime Rhymes
For your convenience, there are several ways to place an order. More details of what to do for each method are given below. The methods are:
- On-line from our web site
- By post (with a paper order form)
- By telephone
What we Need to Process your Order
However you choose to order, the details we need are:
- The child's name - to appear at the top of the LifeTime Rhyme
- Your message - to appear at the bottom of the LifeTime Rhyme (maximum 12 words)
(Or indicate “no message” if you prefer.) - Whether for a boy or girl
- The LifeTime Rhyme Edition (Artist or Cartoon)
- Framed or mounted-only version
- The size: Large or Medium for the Artist Edition; Medium only for the Cartoon Edition
- Frame colour if you buy the framed version
- Your contact details - address, telephone and email
- The delivery address (if different from your address)
- Delivery date required if less than 21 days
You need to complete the following steps to place your order (in legal terms, this is “making an offer”) for the products shown on our web site.
- Place your order by completing our on-line Order Form
- Click on the Buy online link which takes you to the secure PayPal site.
- Pay by debit or credit card using PayPal’s secure payment system.
- You will receive a confirmation from PayPal detailing your order. You may print this out for your records.
- You will be re-directed to a specific Thank You page on our site after the order has been submitted. This acknowledges that we have received your order and that it is being processed but does not legally confirm a contract. You will be given an order number at this stage. Please print out this page for your records.
- On acceptance of your order, we will process and despatch your order as quickly as possible.
Payment options for On-Line Orders
- By debit or credit cards displayed on Paypal.
Security of payment details
We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the site.
When ordering via the internet, all credit card numbers and personal details are dealt with by Paypal's secure site and will never be disclosed to us.
- By completing and submitting the electronic order form you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.
- Memory Studio may accept or decline any order. The contract will be formed only if your order is accepted by us.
- Because of the way in which on-line payment systems work, your debit/card card may be debited before the contract is formed.
- Taking payment from your debit/credit card does not indicate acceptance of your order.
- If for any unforeseen reason, your order is not accepted by us, a refund will, of course, be made immediately.
- Any contract will be made under English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
Language for contract
Currently, because our LifeTime Rhymes are in English, the sole language offered to conclude your contract with us is English.
- Place your order by completing our on-screen Order Form.
- Click on the By Post link and print-out two copies of the window which appears on your screen.
- Keep one copy of your order for your records, and send one copy, together with your cheque (made payable to Memory Studio), to:

- Click on the By Telephone link and print a copy of the window which appears on your screen.

Method 2
- If you'd rather talk your order through, we'd love to hear from you on 01252 738920. You are most welcome to phone any time between 9.00am and 5.00pm U.K. time, Mondays to Fridays.
- We can take your order over the phone, calculate the costs and ask you to send us the total payment.
Whichever telephone method, you choose, we will process and despatch your order, with a receipt as soon as possible, allowing 5 working days to clear your cheque. We will always do our best to meet urgent orders.
- You can send your order in an email giving us the information outlined in the "What we need to process your order" section
- We will confirm your order by email including details of the product/s, the price/s and despatch.
- We will ask you to send your payment by cheque.
- We will process and despatch your order, with a receipt, as soon as possible allowing 5 working days to clear your cheque. We will always do our best to meet urgent orders.
Payment
For orders which are not placed on-line, we require payment by cheque made payable to Memory Studio. Please print your name and address on the back of the cheque and send it to us at:

We will start work on your order as soon as possible after the bank has cleared your cheque. (This is five working days from when we receive your cheque.) Please also read the Despatch and Delivery Arrangements above.
Disclaimers

- Framed LifeTime Rhymes are intended to be hung on a wall as decoration where they can be seen and read. As with any wall decoration, they should be hung securely and out of a child's reach. We would point out that framed and mounted LifeTime Rhymes are not toys and, as such, should not be handled or played with. An A4 laminated version is given free-of-charge with every order. This can be handled and read with the child.
- The colours of the products displayed on this web site may differ slightly from actual colours, depending on your monitor set up.
- Memory Studio and its owners will not be liable for any injury sustained by its products unless caused by their negligence.
- We will do all we can to ensure the accuracy of spelling and grammar included in the name of the child at the top of the LifeTime Rhyme and the message at the bottom. Where we think there may be a mistake on the order form, we will endeavour to contact you and discuss. However, we cannot be held responsible for any error on the customer's order form subsequently included on the LifeTime Rhyme. Where we have made a mistake we will, of course, put the matter right as soon as possible.
- We make every effort to ensure that the information displayed on this web site is correct. We are unable to supply goods at prices shown erroneously.
- Memory Studio does not endorse or approve the content of any 3rd party site, nor will Memory Studio have any liability in connection with any of them (including, but not limited to, liability arising out of any allegation that the content of any 3rd party site infringes any law or the rights of any person or entity).
- You can phone us between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00pm U.K. time Mondays - Fridays for help and advice.
- You can email us at any time and we will reply no later than the next working day.

Cancellation and Returns Policy
We are sure that you will be delighted with your order. As our products are personalised, orders cannot be cancelled after payment has been received by us. And, once supplied, we can only exchange or refund in the unlikely event that the quality is not up to standard. Please notify us within 7 days if you have any complaint. We will discuss with you the return of the products and arrange for a replacement or full refund of all monies paid. (This does not affect your statutory rights.)
- Memory Studio respects your privacy and will treat all personal information supplied with the utmost care.
- Your information will be used only to process your order and will not be passed on to any third party.
- We will store a copy of your order in a secure manner. We will not store any payment details.
- When ordering via the internet, all credit card numbers and personal details are dealt with by PayPal's secure site and will never be disclosed to us.
- Memory Studio reserves the right to provide aggregate data to third parties for statistical analysis. Such data will not be linked to any particular individual persons.
